Effective date: October 1, 2018
This page informs you (the “end-user”) of the policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal data when you use the Address Label Creator app (the “Service” or “app”) and the choices you have associated with that data. By using the app you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
What Data App Collects and How it is Used
All data entered by the end-user in the creation of an address label are kept in an on-device database when session state is saved. None of this information is disclosed or transferred to any third party or server. This means the addresses of selected or entered contacts, saved label designs and saved address lists are kept strictly on the device in the database.
Imported address lists are managed by the end-user.
Exported address lists are stored in the app’s Documents folder where the end-user can access the file or delete the file.
Label sheets can be e-mailed as a PDF file, initiated by the end-user, to recipients the end-user specifies.
Any label design, entered address and saved address list can be permanently deleted by the end-user.
When the app is deleted, so is the app’s on-device database. A newly download version of the app starts off with an empty database.
The on-device database exists in the app’s Documents folder on the iOS device, which the end-user can delete. However, all saved state and saved address lists will be permanently lost. See Apple’s documentation on how to access an app’s Documents folder.
An end-users photos and contacts are not exported off-device, e.g., to a server. Photos and contacts used in the design of a label are kept on-device.
No personal end-user data is collected. The app does not require the end-user to enter anything personal, such as login information or their phone number.
No app usage data is collected. This includes use of app features to create an address label.
The app does not use location services per se.
No end-user input or usage is recorded to improve the app.
Permissions
- The end-user must grant access to the protected resources Photos and Contacts, and the microphone. Not granting access limits core app features: no end-user photos can be used in a label design and address information must be entered manually.
- The app does not rely on Notifications being turned on.
